Advanced Excel Automated Templates developer

To briefly talk about myself;

I am an experienced Youth with the work experience of 8 years in Finance and Administration roles and a CPA Student level 3. Of all these years, I have been working with Nurture Africa, an INGO located in Nansana with Headquarters in Ireland, Dublin City.

Nurture Africa is mainly focused in Health and runs a health Centre III where it has got both paying and non-paying clients who are utilizing the services.

Nurture Africa also runs a vocational institute which offers practical skills to youths in fields like; Catering, Hair dressing, Tailoring and Carpentry. Nurture Africa also runs social enterprises in the form of Salons, Boutique and Cafes where these students are employed upon completing their studies.

For more information about Nurture Africa operations and project works refer to http://www.nurtureafrica.ie/

I currently have three years’ experience in donor proposal writing.

I am skilled in using advanced excel to create automated reporting templates which I have gained the interest and love for excel after the Irish Finance Staff I worked with in the early months of 2020 who inspired me a lot. I have utilized this skill in ensuring that monthly BVAs for over 13 projects are efficiently managed through giving timely feedback to the Project implementing officers through my Finance Team effort.

I have Leadership skills were I have been in position to lead a team of over 16 staff among which I have 1 Procurement Officer, 1 Fleet Officer, 1 Maintenance Officer, 1 Finance Coordinator/Cash Controller,  3 Finance Officers, and 9 Cashiers from the different Cash Collection Points(Social Enterprises).

I have trained all these staff most of whom have joined the team under my term of leadership where I have ensured that they adhere to Organization SOPs and Policies.

I have always involved my Team during SOPs and Policy review in order to ensure that staff gain the sense of ownership at the time of putting the SOPs and Policies and use.

I have always ensured accurate and timely donor reporting for over 10 International Donors through proper coordination of the team and proper communication with the senior management. I have achieved this through developing a donor reporting calendar for the year and assigning different Finance Officers to the different donor budgets and reports. This has been highly achieved through ensuring the donor burn rates are monitored and closely managed on a monthly basis.

I have always made sure that all the different Finance Officers assigned to the different donor projects are in a clear understanding of the donor terms and conditions through sharing the copy of the signed donor agreement to the responsible officers and making a follow up to ensure that the implementation is done as per donor agreement.

More about my achievements and experience will be shared when given an opportunity to meet the rest of the recruitment team.

I assure you the best from me if I am given a chance to be part of your Team to serve the Uganda Community together as one.

Kind regards,

SAMUEL KAFUMU
