Working Experience

I have over 22 years work experience gain from working in Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Ghana and Uganda in Financial Institutions (Microfinance), building capacities, coordinating, monitoring and reporting, organizational management and management of change, marketing, lecturing, accounting and finance, and project management.

 

Presently I am the Senior Lead Consultant at JECON Group of Companies Ltd. I was the team leader of Niras Consulting, the firm managing the BoU and GIZ AGRUFIN funds for developing agricultural finance in Uganda. and formally Chairman of Mortgage Association of Uganda (MAU), Board Member Voluntary Services Overseas a British International NGO (VSO-Jitolee), Executive Member of the Financial Market Development Program (FMDP) coordinated by Bank of Uganda sponsored by World Bank and CEO of the Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services (UIBFS).

 

I have a rich experience in business development services, Social Impact design, measurement and evaluation; Financial Management, tax advisory services and Corporate Governance; and Human resource management.  He is also very knowledgeable in project / programs evaluation, end of project evaluation, developing and delivering skill-based courses (including translation), proposal writing and sourcing funds, managing donor relationships and accountability gained from working with donor agencies such as; IFC, World Bank, AfDB, EADB, UNECA, AU, BV FACET, USAID-Rural Speed, Belgium Technical Cooperation, UNDP, World Vision Kenya and World Vision International, C-Gap, gtz, ADRA.

 

I have worked and traveled extensively in Africa and Asia studying microfinance, village banking and linkage banking giving him a wide understanding of international, regional and national political economy, development issues and cultural factors.  With his vast experience in working and traveling extensively in Africa and Asia, he has developed the ability to operate in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environments and build effective working relations.

 

I have also lectured at the University of Nairobi, Kenya Institute of Management and Kampala International University on a full time basis and Kyambogo University on a part time basis. He holds a Master Degree in International Business Administration (Marketing and Economic) MIBA, B.Sc. Degree in International Business Administration (Accounting / MIS), and third level professional certificates in Public Relations, Selling and Sales-Management, Commerce and Finance (Financial Management), and mortgage.

 

Currently, I am pursuing a PhD Degree in International Business Administration (Microfinance in Promoting Rural Development in Uganda Since 2010) from the UNICAF due to complete in 2020.

Modified sugarcane VCF scheme features to improve delivery of production credit (Refined sugarcane product concept. And Strategy for Review and Refinement of Tropical Bank’s Sugarcane VCF Products).
