manager/teacher

I am Igira Rose Mary, an accomplished professional with a wealth of experience in project coordination
and management. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a strong commitment to professionalism,
competence, and transparency in the utilization of project funds. My exceptional leadership,
communication, and problem-solving skills enable me to work effectively with diverse stakeholders to
achieve project goals.
In November 2022, I began working as a Program Officer for the Creating Resilience Against Extremism
(CREATE) project at Mercy Corps. In this capacity, I collaborate with community structures to plan and
implement program deliverables in line with targets. I represent Mercy Corps at district-level forums and
coordination meetings, prepare paperwork and requests for trainings, meetings, and workshops related
to the EKISIL Project. I submit reports on specific events, field trips, and meetings attended on behalf of
Mercy Corps. I support program staff in monitoring and evaluating the progress and impact of work,
including setting and measuring benchmarks along results chains. I manage program data, including
information collected by programs, and provide database support and design. I also coordinate
program/project lessons learned and develop key actions for improvement.
Prior to my current role, I served as a Program Officer for the Justice and Peace Department at Kotido
Catholic Diocese. In this role, I managed the Justice and Peace Office to ensure the effective and efficient
delivery of services. I collaborated with members of the district security committees, district councilors,
and other stakeholders. I prepared weekly and monthly work plans, wrote reports, and submitted them
to the Bishop. I represented Kotido Diocese at district and partner coordination meetings, organized
inter-diocesan and cross-border sports for peace activities in collaboration with the Catholic dioceses of
Kotido, Lodwar, and Moroto. I also conducted day-to-day planning of department/project activities,
developed project proposals, implemented them, and wrote reports, success stories, and accounted for
donor funds.
As a Project Coordinator for a GBV and HIV/AIDS Prevention Project, I planned and budgeted for project
activity implementation, ensured transparency in utilization of project funds, and provided full
accountability for funds spent. I guided community members on group formation processes as per the
project setup, ensured project activities were implemented according to the work plan and established
guidelines, and conducted performance appraisals for field animators and developed their capacity building needs with support from the project supervisor. I prepared progress reports based on
established standards and conducted trainings of peer counsellors on basic counselling skills and
community mobilizers on various aspects regarding their roles and income-generating activities (IGAs).

Overall, I have demonstrated a strong commitment to professionalism, competence, and transparency in
the utilization of project funds. I have upheld the name of organizations and donors at all times. My
wealth of experience in project coordination and management, combined with my exceptional
leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, makes me a valuable asset to any organization I work with.
Sincerely,
Igira Rose Mary
