The Country Manager is charged with the overall responsibility of overseeing all the Bank’s operational activities in the host country, including providing strategic direction and leadership, business development, business relationships, risk management, business operations, research and development. The Country Manager must be committed to the Bank’s mandate, and institutional goals. He/she must have the strategic vision and technical skills necessary to respond to the dynamic environment in the particular country and in East Africa.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
1.Provide leadership in the achievement of the Corporation’s vision, mission and strategy.
2.Foster a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices and good corporate citizenship through effective communication between the Management and the Board.
3.Establish and operate production and transmission facilities and related services and ensure continuous improvement in the quality and value of services and products provided by the Corporation.
4.Improve KBC’s profitability by embracing modern and innovative solutions.
5.Ensure continuous achievement of the Corporation’s strategic and operating goals and objectives by effectively managing the human and financial resources of the Corporation.
6.Manage the Corporation’s physical assets; design, oversee and implement the Corporation’s financial decisions; grow the revenue base and profit margins of the Corporation.
7.Prepare annual budgets, ensure risk analysis on potential investments and partnerships and advise the Board of Directors.
8.Ensure compliance with the Constitution of Kenya and all statutory, legal and regulatory requirements.

Skills

At least twelve (12) years working experience with a minimum of Eight (8) years at a senior managerial position.

Experience Requirements

Experience in the Media/Broadcasting Industry or ICT Sector will be an added advantage.
Must have working knowledge in the emerging trends in the Media/Broadcasting Industry.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Communication, Telecommunications, Media, Business Administration/ Management or its equivalent from a recognized University.
Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
Must be a member of a relevant professional body.
