Project Assistant- Disaster Preparedness & Response (National Position), Adjumani, Uganda
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Project Implementation and planning
The PA will contribute to the effective implementation of the Disaster Preparedness and Response project, ensuring that activities are implemented as laid out in the project document. This entails: Ensure community mobilization and sensitization of beneficiaries is conducted in an organized manner as per LWF guidelines;
Work closely with community leaders, and government structures during registration and verification of beneficiaries ensuring the laid-out selection criteria are carefully followed;
Education, Qualifications & Technical Competencies: Interested Applicants must hold A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Development Studies from a recognized institution; One (1) year of work experience in humanitarian and development projects preferably in refugee/IDP setting and host community; Demonstrated community mobilization/development skills; Experience in Monitoring & Evaluation of development and humanitarian programs; Sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to work in a wide variety of cultural contexts; Ability to work independently and under pressure in a rapidly changing professional environment.
