Product Test Technician

The Fenix International Product Integrity Team is looking for a self-driven, dependable, and attentive Hardware Product Test Technician to join the Fenix Product Integrity team. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience as a hardware technician or working with consumer electronics or a related field. This role will be responsible for ensuring Fenix International continues to supply only the highest quality products to its customers by assisting the development, iteration, and execution of rigorous test plans. The test technician will also work closely with the design and manufacturing teams during the new product development process to validate hardware and characterize performance. They will also support the QA team in performing root cause analysis and investigating issues reported from the field, as well as maintaining documentation and issuing reports.
Test and validate all new Fenix hardware products, document and report results
Investigate and document the root cause of any discovered product failures to assist design and manufacturing teams with quick iteration
Characterize user experience through rigorous simulated customer testing
Assist QA and field teams with issue diagnosis, recreation, and resolution plans
Excellent planning and execution of hardware and firmware test procedures
Rigorous problem solving and scientific test methodology
Excellent communication and documentation skills in English
Experience working with electronics equipment (multimeter, electronic load, power supply, oscilloscope)
Data analytics and reporting (SQL, Excel, Tableau)
PCB testing, fault investigation
Solar and Li-Ion battery electronics experience
Automated testing design and implementation
