Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

On behalf of our client Microhaem Scientifics and Medical Supplies (MHS), we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experience Procurement Specialist to work in Uganda.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process for our medical device production. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, components, and services necessary for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, supply chain management, and a deep understanding of the medical devices industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sourcing and Vendor Management:

Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and service.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
Take part in Negotiating supplier agreements, contracts, and terms
Material Procurement:

Procure materials, components, and equipment required for medical device production.
Ensure timely delivery and inventory management to meet production schedules.
Cost Management:
Continuously assess and optimize costs and lead cost-reduction initiatives.
Monitor and communicate market trends and industry developments for decision making.
Quality Assurance:

Collaborate with quality control and assurance teams to ensure materials meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Risk Management:

Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies for risk mitigation.
Implement business continuity plans to address supply chain disruptions.
Compliance:
Stay informed about relevant regulations and industry standards in medical devices manufacturing.
Perform all procurement activities in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Data Analysis:

Generate and make available procurement data and key performance indicators for decision-making.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality control, to meet manufacturing goals.
