Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Planning; or Land Use Planning; or Urban and Regional Planning; or Urban Planning; or Urban Design; or Geography; or Town and Regional Planning; or any other related discipline plus a Post Graduate Diploma in either Physical Planning; or Land Use Planning; or Urban and Regional Planning; or Urban Planning; or Urban Design; or any other relevant discipline from a recognized University / Institution.
Applicants should have a minimum of six (6) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which should have been served at the level of Senior Physical Planner in Government or an equivalent level from a reputable organization.
The incumbent will be responsible to the Commissioner, Physical Planning for performing the following duties:-
- Providing technical team leadership in implementation of programmes and activities for research and evaluation for the effectiveness of physical planning policies, legislation, standards, regulations and guidelines;
- Providing technical support and guidance in preparation and review of National and Regional Physical Development Plans;
- Technical support, support supervision and capacity building and training to Local Governments and relevant stakeholders;
