MEDIA STRATEGIST (1)
The Media Strategist is responsible for formulating media strategies in order to help launch various KMC products and services while collaborating with clients’ advertising, public relations and product teams. The Media Strategist plays a critical role in promoting the integration of cross-functional teams and ensuring seamless delivery of products and services to clients.
Reports to: Director Marketing and Sales
Salary Scale: K6
Planning and executing custom media partnerships with a heavy focus on content development.
Media planning and buying across display, video, mobile and social channels while owning elements of planning and execution.
Building advertising campaigns designed to capture potential clients’ attention and keep existing customers’ loyalty by figuring out the campaign’s target demographic, determining the best time to run the campaign, and deciding which medium to use.
Analyzing data mined from surveys, webpage visits, social media platforms and other sources to build the desired customer profiles.
Utilize media planning tools for application/analysis into competitive landscape, target digital consumption support, plan development, and reporting.
Monitor trends, tools, opportunities and applications in paid media environments, and appropriately apply that knowledge.
Develop and present media specific documents such as Terms of Reference, Requests for Proposals, media plans, objectives and strategies and other related functions.
Create campaign post launch information such as screenshots, links and placement information to demonstrate proof of placement for clients.
Manage day-to-day communication with key partners: Vendors,
Strong communication skills to accurately convey a clear message to creative teams and executives
Strong analytical skills to properly make useful recommendations from gathered data
Financial Management to be able to develop and manage adverting budgets
Must be an innovator, a trendsetter, and a progressive thinker who can connect digital to all other aspects of a client business and drive growth opportunities.
in-depth knowledge of company business objectives, online strategies, and their competitive landscape with a rich background in the digital marketing/advertising industry
must be aware of trends in traditional and social media, which can include keeping abreast of new apps and other forms of digital media innovation.
Take keen interest in current events and trends that relate to a target audience’s interests.
Ethics and Integrity to build trust of the existing and potential clients
Must be prepared for a fast-paced environment and be comfortable making decisions
Must have an insatiable curiosity for technology, culture and whatever comes next.
General working experience of at least five (5) years; three (3) of which should have been served planning and executing content-focused custom digital promotions/campaigns, as well as using fundamental digital planning tools and platforms in a reputable organization preferably in the media industry
Bachelor’s Degree (Honors) in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media, Public Relations or Related Field from a recognized Institution;
