Field of activity
The GIZ regional office in Kampala is the seat of the regional directorate and administration.
In addition, the country office is responsible for portfolio management and business development in Uganda, so it deals with strategic, conceptual and locally relevant corporate policy issues.
• Analysis of the political environment, contact management to federal resorts commissioned by local donors, Ugandan partner ministries and the German Embassy
• Advising GIZ projects on quality assurance in the context of project preparation, implementation and completion
• GIZ's external presentation in Uganda and communication in the GIZ
• Advice on the cross-sectional issues of occupational health management, gender, HIV & AIDS and inclusion
• Safety and risk managementYour tasks
Creation and revision of strategy papers, presentations or minutes
Participation and logging in meetings with GIZ projects, ministries, embassies and much more.
Support of the communication area in the organization of media trips - writing articles for eg social media, newsletters, GIZ website and intranet
Compiling information packages and advising on projects
Advice on the above-mentioned cross-cutting issues and support in the implementation of corresponding measures
Taking over editorial and organizational tasks as well as preparing and holding events
Preparation of analyzes on developments in the political environment of GIZ in Uganda.
rapid comprehension, good analytical skills and the ability to present complex relationships in a well-structured manner
Careful work, independence, reliability, flexibility, quality and result orientation
Very good knowledge of English and very good knowledge of dealing with MS Office.
First professional experience and a longer stay abroad, mainly in East Africa
Experience in gender, HIV & AIDS, event management and strong communication skills
Students in the master’s program in Political, Economic, Communication and African Studies with an international focus
