Q-Sourcing Limited is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and South Sudan.

On behalf of one of our Kampala based clients, a security company that offers guard services, we are looking for a competent and experienced Human Resource Officer

The Human Resource Officer will be involved in; calculating employees’ compensation, updating our internal payroll databases and ensuring timely payments, sourcing, recruiting, planning the overall HR strategy and assist in creating and implementing HR policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan, implement and manage the overall Talent Acquisition strategy.
Provide counseling and support on policies and procedures.
Perform duties such as job descriptions, job posting and promotion and hiring analytics.
Create, implement and manage on boarding plans.
Plan and implement training programs.
Maintaining employee records and paperwork.
The HR officer will maintain payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data. The HR officer will also Collect daily, weekly or monthly time sheets.
Pensions and benefits administration. The HR officer will also Calculate bonuses and allowances.
Prepare employees’ compensation by the end of each month using payroll software.
Schedule bank payments or hand out paychecks directly to employees.
Distribute payment statements and gather signed receipts (digital or paper).
Report on payroll expenses.
Ensure wages and tax withholding comply with regulations.
Enter new employees’ data (e.g. bank accounts and tax identification numbers) into internal databases.
Answer staff questions about compensation, benefits, taxes and insurance deductions, time records, attendance and any other questions relating to employee remuneration.
Looking after the health, safety and welfare of all employees.
Adhere to laws and regulations.
Reporting Relationship:

The Human Resource office will report to the Operations manager.


Excellent knowledge of various HR functions such as pay & benefits, recruitment, on boarding, evaluation, training & development etc.
Good understanding of labor laws.
Exceptional team performance skills
Proficient in MS Office
Experience in pay roll management and Recruitment Marketing platforms is highly preferred.
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good decision-making skills
Strong ethical standards

Experience Requirements

2 years of experience as an HR Officer or similar HR role

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource management, or any related field with a bias in Human Resources management.
