Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Food and Beverages Manager to work in Uganda.

Job Summary

The Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager with Fontis Residence is responsible for managing operations of all Food & Beverage outlets to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while working within budgeted guidelines. The Food & Beverage Manager would also be required to manage, train, and develop team members.

Reporting Line

Department: Food & Beverages Service

Reporting to: General Manager

Supervises: Chefs, Service team, and Bar team

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic leadership of the F&B Department
Oversee all Food & Beverage Outlet operations
Manage all the functions of kitchens, bar, service areas, departmental stores/purchases, and stewarding.
Forecasting, planning, and controlling the ordering of food and beverages for the hotel.
Manage and coordinate departmental purchases of food and drink for the hotel premises.
Maintain exceptional levels of customer service.
Ensure compliance with Fontis Hotel brand standards.
Support in recruiting, managing, training and developing the F&B team.
Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.
Work closely within budgeted guidelines in relation to Food, Liquor Costs and Payroll.
Set departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, and policies and procedures.
Develop menus with other members of F&B team.
The incumbent will be accountable for monthly stock takes Motivate team members to maximize sales and revenue.
Conduct annual and mid-year appraisals with team under your responsibility.
Evaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement.
Ensure communication meetings are conducted and post-meeting minutes generated.
Support other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.
Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.
Develop departmental (service, kitchen, bar) S.O.Ps and ensure strict adherence to them. Training and development.
Any other tasks in line with the job, that maybe assigned by the superior
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate for the Fontis Residence Food and Beverage Manager role should possess a Degree or a high school diploma in relevant area or equivalent qualifications.
At least 5 years working experience in managing food and beverage or similar role preferably in a five Star restaurant or Hotel environment.
Prior F&B management experience
Passion for delivering excellent customer experience
Able to meet financial targets and make analysis of financial figures.
Ability to comply with all F&B brand standards.
Ability to work under pressure.
Excellent grooming standards.
Willingness to develop team members and self.
High degree of flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
Ability to work on your own or in teams.
