Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in either Economics; or Social Works and Social Administration; or Political Science; or Development Studies; or Commerce (Management option); or Business Administration (Management option); or Statistics; plus, a minimum of a Post Graduate Diploma in any of the above fields from a recognized University / Institution. A Post Graduate Diploma in Development Policy Management and Practice; or Public Policy Management; or Policy Analysis and formulation will be an added advantage.
Applicants should have a minimum of nine (9) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which should have been served at Principal Officer level in Government or an equivalent level from a reputable organization.
The incumbent will be responsible to the Commissioner, Socio-economic Research and Monitoring for performing the following duties:-
- Coordinating and helping in guiding other Government Ministries, Departments, Agencies to make use of the economic social policy research data in the analysis of socio-economic conditions and interventions;
- Providing Policies which are for achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Regional Economic Integration, East African Community (EAC) and Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA);
