Job Purpose:

Providing reliable and safe driving services, you will uphold the highest standards of discretion and integrity; have a deep sense of responsibility, and excellent knowledge of protocol and security issues. You will demonstrate a client-oriented approach, courtesy, tact and ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.

You would be responsible for:

Driving office vehicles and transporting UNFPA staff and official visitors in town and on field missions, with particular focus on the Representative.
Ensuring day-to-day maintenance of assigned vehicle.
Performing minor repairs and ensures that the vehicle is kept clean and in good running condition at all times.
Logging official trips, daily mileage, fuel consumption and oil changes, greasing etc.
Collecting and delivering mail, packages and equipment.
Ensuring that, in the event of an accident involving the office vehicle, the necessary steps required by rules and regulations are followed.
Performs other support duties as required
Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

Completed Secondary Level Education.

Knowledge and Experience:

Valid driver’s license.
Three years’ work experience as a driver in an international organization, embassy or UN system with a safe driving record.
Knowledge of driving rules and regulations, chauffeur protocol and courtesies, and local roads and conditions, and defensive driving skills.
Skill in minor vehicle repairs.
Languages:

Fluency in English; knowledge of other official UN languages, preferably French is desirable
