Description

The position is primarily responsible for, but not limited to, driving assigned vehicles, safe transport of authorized personnel, delivery, administrative roles as assigned and collection of documents and cargo, and working knowledge of vehicle security. S/he ensures the highest standards of discretion and overall safety and well-being of passengers, demonstrating courtesy and confidentiality across all MSH Uganda. S/he is a member of the MSH Uganda.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Driving (70%)

Ensure provision of reliable and safe driving for MSH staff, Officials, visitors and deliver cargo safely.

2. Vehicle Maintenance (20%)

- C arry out daily and weekly maintenance checks on vehicles.

-Timely routine service and repairs done to eliminate any possibility of vehicle break down every 5, 000km

3. Reporting and administration support (10%)

- Accountability of vehicle use.

- Duly filled and signed log sheet capturing mileage, fuel , repairs and trips. - Timely submission of performance reports and copies filed. - Provide administrative support as assigned from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Minimum Education

A minimum of an Ordinary Level Certificate of education or its equivalent.

Required Minimum Experience

Required: A minimum of 5 years’ driving experience, valid clean computerized driving license with B and CM Classes.

Preferred: DL driving classes.

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of Uganda Road Laws.
Training in defensive driving.
Knowledge of basic mechanics.
Competencies

Good communication and interpersonal skills; good command of English.
Computer skills
Should be able to print, photocopy documents, manage attendance registration of workshop participants and other basic
