Development worker as a consultant (m / f / d) for district administrations in Northern Uganda

Field of activity
As part of the "Supporting Refugees and Host Communities in Northern Uganda" project, GIZ is working on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development to help the Ugandan government create favorable conditions for inclusive socio-economic development. The aim is to increase the efficiency of the administrations of five selected districts and to strengthen the economic development of the local population and refugees.

Your tasks
Advising the districts on the implementation of the national strategy for local, economic development
Support in the development, implementation and monitoring of local development plans with a focus on taking refugee needs into account
Strengthen district administrations through advice on procedures and workflows
Promotion of cross-district exchange and cooperation
Cooperation with other programs of German and international development cooperation


Independent work with simultaneous teamwork and communication skills
Intercultural experiences
Fluent in English; Knowledge of German is an advantage

Experience Requirements

Several years of professional experience in the areas of municipal development as well as in local economic promotion and services
Professional experience in the field of flight

Education Requirements

University degree in administrative, social, political or economic sciences or a comparable qualification
