JOB DETAILS:
The Organisation
Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. We believe in the power and potential of every child but know this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it is girls who are most affected.

Working together with children, young people, supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges girls and vulnerable children face. We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood and we enable children to prepare for and respond to crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.

For over 85 years, we have rallied other determined optimists to transform the lives of all children in more than 80 countries. We won’t stop until we are all equal.

The Humanitarian Upscale aim to contribute to life saving support to children, in particular girls and young women seeking refuge in Kyangwali settlement through provision of comprehensive child protection case management, system strengthening including capacity strengthening of CBCPMs and WASH. The Specific objectives of the project are;
• To deliver immediate, life-saving assistance to children, girls and young women seeking refuge in Uganda’s Kyangwali settlement in accordance with sector priorities.
• All children especially girls and adolescents in Kyangwali settlement are protected from violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation through prevention and response interventions in line with the Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian response.
• Girls in Kyangwali settlement have the agency and SRHR information including access to services to prevent teenage pregnancy and child marriage
• Ensure a quality and accountable humanitarian response to the affected population anchored on Core Humanitarian Standards. The project is funded by the German National Office (GNO) and Plan International through the Children in Crisis (CiC) fund.

The CPiE Officer provides administrative support to the project team. The CPiE Officer shall ensure excellent relationships with all stakeholders involved in the project implementation especially implementing and other operating Partners including UNHCR, OPM and DLG.
