Associate Scientist: Agroforestry and carbon development- Uganda(Ref. No.2024005) CIFOR-ICRAF brings more than 75 years of experience in harnessing the power of trees, forests, and agroforestry landscapes to address the most pressing global challenges of our time – biodiversity loss, climate change, food security, livelihoods, and inequity. It has partnerships in 64 countries, 159 funding partners and 192 active projects, alongside more than 2,200 completed projects across 92 nations.

Experience in data collection and analysis; research and writing; raining; community engagement; & communications. • Experience in conceptualizing, developing, and implementing scientific research; training materials and manuals to train different stakeholders. • Expertise and skills in Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Learnings (documentation of key successes in a project). Personal attributes and competencies: • Knowledge of data collection and analysis tools and computer packages. • People management and networking skills. • Research design, writing and good communication skills. • Ability to engage and work with rural communities and partners. • Work independently or with very limited supervision.
